Volunteer Up!
Volunteer Up is an initiative to create a one-stop location centralized at Richmond Community College for community members interested in volunteering.
WHY?
Local organizations are in dire need of local volunteers but there is no coordinated place for volunteer requests within Richmond and Scotland counties. PLUS volunteers will gain valuable work experience and professional references.
WHERE?
Richmond Community College now serves as a centralized hub for connecting volunteers with community partners. These partners include:
- Senior Centers
- Local Schools
- Hospice
- Humane Society/Animal Shelters
- Hospitals
- Habitat for Humanity
- United Way
- Transitional Housing Programs
- 4-H Programs
- After-school Programs
- Food Pantries
- Parks & Recreation
- American Red Cross
- Other Non-profits
HOW?
Through RichmondCC's Career Coach online platform, agencies can create volunteer listings. Volunteers can search the listings or inquire through RichmondCC's Career & Transfer Advising Center located at the Hamlet and Scotland County Campus.
NEED HELP?
If you need help navigating the Career Coach platform, contact Richmond Community College at (910) 410-1700.
