Improve Your Language Skills with Our ESL Program
It’s important to all of us at Richmond Community College that each member of our community have the knowledge and tools they need to succeed in their everyday life. With this in mind, we offer English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at both the Hamlet and Scotland County campuses for non-English speaking adults. The classes are open to students who are 18 years or older.
The goal of the ESL program is to provide premiere English language acquisition classes for non-English speakers to improve their reading, writing, speaking, listening and employability skills and to offer preparations for the naturalization exam to become American citizens.
ESL Classes
Our ESL classes focus on giving students a variety of resources to improve their English language skills. The curriculum includes:
- Everyday Communication Skills
- People, Family & Parenting
- Consumer Economics
- Health
- Community
- Employment
The classes and materials are free.
