This Nursing Assistant II class is a 195-hour course offered in a traditional classroom setting. Students must be currently registered with the Division of Health Service Regulation (DSHR) Nurse Aide Registry. Students will learn advanced skill care and will be eligible to be listed on the North Carolina Board of Nursing Nurse Aide II Registry upon successful completion of the course.
Topics Include:
- Oxygen Therapy
- Suctioning
- Sterile Dressing Changes
- IV Fluid Assistive Activities
- Ostomy Care
- Gastrostomy/Nasogastric Feedings
- Urinary Catheterizations
- Tracheostomy care
Students must successfully complete the course, all skills test and pay $24 to be eligible to be listed on the Nurse Aide II Registry.

Hamlet Campus: Jan. 14 - May 15 | Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. | Grimsley Building, room 203 | Tuition for this class is $180; fees for this class are $373.
Scotland County Campus: Jan. 13 - March 10 | Mondays through Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. | Honeycutt Center | Tuition for this class is $180; fees for this class are $373.

- Current TB results
- Copy of current NAI certification
