Additional Information for Financial Aid Students

For those sessions starting later in the semester, financial aid will be credited to RichmondCC student accounts based on the start date of each course after confirmation of class attendance. This includes students with RISE, DMA, DRE, EDU 262, and/or NUR 212 classes. Each RISE and DMA/DRE class/session is counted separately. Your schedule shows you the start date for each course. You can view your schedule of classes in Self-Service.

Financial aid will not be credited to a student account before the 10% point (census date) of each curriculum course. Every curriculum course has a 10% point (census date). Confirmation of class attendance is performed after this 10% point of each curriculum course. Your financial aid will only be credited for classes that you have already begun attendance in.

The award(s) listed on your award letter was/is a projected amount based on full-time attendance (12 or more credit hours per semester). Your actual grant amount will be based on your enrollment status at the end of the 10% point of each session. If you are enrolled for fewer than 12 credit hours or you are currently attending less-than 12 credit hours, please see the section below to determine your grant award for the hours you are enrolled/attending.

If you are enrolled for fewer than 12 credit hours per semester, your federal aid award will be prorated as follows:
9 to 11 credit hours = 3/4 time or 75% of your award
6 to 8 credit hours = 1/2 time or 50% of your award
Less than 6 credit hours = 1/4 or 25% or your award or less

*For State Aid please see 2023-2024 Award Letter Supplement for more details. RichmondCC Scholarships may require full-time enrollment. Additional information can be found on our Scholarships page.
