Search and Rescue

ATVs on a dirt roadRichmond Community College partners with local agencies to provide Search & Rescue classes for both professional first responders and emergency personnel as well as private individuals interested in volunteering during crises.

Wilderness First Aid

Wilderness environments create special situations not usually encountered in an urban or suburban environment. With the Wilderness First Aid class, first aid providers in a remote outdoor setting will be better prepared to respond with wilderness first aid training when faced with limited resources, longer times to care for someone, and decisions about when and how fast to evacuate an ill or injured person.

Class Dates: TBD

Location: Pineland Resources | 136 Pineland University Road, Ellerbe, NC

ATV & UTV for Search and Rescue

ATVs or UTVs can often play a critical part in search and rescue operations because many calls come in from areas that are not accessible by full size vehicles due to either trail restrictions or weather and/or road conditions. This course provides training in the use of ATVs/UTVs during a search and rescue situation. You must bring your own ATV/UTV. Limited to 15 students

Class Dates: TBD

Location: Pineland Resources | 136 Pineland University Road, Ellerbe, NC
