Richmond Community College students can earn a degree in Speech Language Pathology Assisting from Fayetteville Technical Community College after completing two semesters of study at RichmondCC and transferring to FTCC.
FTCC's Speech Language Pathology Assistant program prepares individuals to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, who evaluates, diagnosis, and treats individuals with various communication disorders. Courses provide instruction in methods of screening for speech, language, and hearing disorders and in following written protocols designed to remediate individual communication disorders.
