RichmondCC Graduate Majoring in Psychology at Wingate University

Riley Howell of Rockingham is majoring in Psychology at Wingate University. She transferred to Wingate after earning an Associate in Arts from Richmond Community College. She received the Gateway to Wingate Scholarship, which made the transfer process easy and affordable.

“This scholarship has been a huge help with lowering payments and making it easier and more affordable to get an education and not have that financial stress to worry about,” Riley said.

Because of the number of credits that transferred from RichmondCC, Riley started her first year at Wingate as a junior.

“The transfer process was smooth and easy sailing. The people at Wingate University have been very helpful,” Riley said.

After earning her bachelor’s degree, Riley plans to further her education in order to become a therapist.

“RichmondCC prepared me for the college life by giving me a feel of those higher education courses and an overall chance to see what college is really like, especially what to expect when going to an institution like Wingate University,” Riley said.
