Intro to Transformers

In this one-day course, students learn basic transformer concepts, including basic formulas for transformer ratings, loads and losses. Terminal designations with additive and subtractive polarity leading to Wye and Delta configurations will be explained in detail. Transformer connections using diagrams or Single and Three Phase banking and paralleling will be demonstrated. Safety aspects will be highly emphasized. At completion of the course, students should be able to understand the configuration of Single and Three Phase transformer operations and apply load calculations in actual applications.

Class Dates/Times: Feb. 25 & Oct. 28, 2022 - More details to come.

*This course can only be used for 8 CE credits for Limited Licensed Electricians. Unlimited licensed electricians would not benefit from this course.
