RichmondCC Offering Free Summer STEM Camp in July
June 11, 2026 - Richmond Community College is hosting a free summer camp called Hack “IT” Up in July for rising 8th, 9th and 10th graders to explore the world of cyber security and digital forensics.
Hack “IT” Up will be July 27-30 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and July 31 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Robinette Building in Rockingham. Lunch, drinks and snacks will be provided.
Campers will have hands-on activities as they learn:
- Cybersecurity fundamentals
- Ethical hacking basics
- Networking concepts
- Digital forensics
- IT careers
Upon the completion of the camp, they will understand basic concepts of cybersecurity and information technology, have hands-on experience with professional tools, and see clear career pathways into the cybersecurity and IT fields. To see how much they have learned, campers will take part in a competition to be crowned the Hack “IT” Up Cyber Hero.
