This course includes basic companion caregiver skills and knowledge to provide social and emotional, as well as safety and personal assistance, to older adults or disabled individuals in the community. Formal caregivers are paid to provide care in one’s home or in a care setting (day care, residential facility, long-term care facility). Note: This class will require students to bend, lift, and squat.

Course Topics
This course will prepare you to assist others with daily living activities such as:
- Preparing meals
- Assisting with daily household duties
- Safeguarding the home
- Teaching and practicing proper sanitation
- Assisting clients with walking, brushing teeth, combing hair and other personal hygiene needs

Tuition and fees: $125 (No additional costs)
