In partnership with BibliU, Richmond Community College is now providing our students with access to digital course materials through the BibliU platform. This move will pass along substantial savings to you on textbooks.
Here’s What to Expect
- Affordable Course Materials: Through BibliU’s Inclusive Access program, you will gain immediate access to digital course materials through the Learning Management System (LMS) at the start of the semester. Digital course materials will be included in your tuition and can be paid for using financial aid.
- BibliU Platform Training: BibliU has a support website, complete with guides and how-to videos detailing how to use the platform. The BibliU team will also have open office hours during the first weeks of classes for any questions.
- New Store Management: The physical RichmondCC Bookstore closed on June 10. We are now transitioning to an online campus store operated by BibliU Campus, a leading provider in campus store management.
- Dedicated Customer Support: BibliU has a 24/7 customer support team available so you can have confidence in getting your course materials.
FAQs
- Where do we purchase our books? Your digital and OER (open educational resources) course materials will be in Moodle at the start of the semester.
- Can we purchase physical copies of books? You can on your own.
- Can we use financial aid to purchase items from the online campus store? Yes, you can use your financial aid to purchase items such as a T-shirt or school supplies from the online campus store.
- What is the cost of the book(s)? If a class does have a digital book and not an OER, the cost is $76 per book. It will be added to your tuition based on your schedule.
- Do high school students pay for books? Dual Enrollment high school/Early College students should talk to their RichmondCC liaison about the transition to digital textbooks and some possible minimal costs.
