"The 2nd Chance Scholarship saved me from not being able to try again to make a difference with my life."

- Victoria Covington

Twenty-two-year-old Victoria Covington is enrolled in the Associate in Science program at Richmond Community College and plans to transfer to Fayetteville State University when she graduates next year. She wants to major in computer science and pursue a career in software development.

"My dream job is to work with smart cars and learn about driverless technology," she said.

Unfortunately, Victoria had to drop out of college for financial reasons for about a year. Her mother had a loss of income, and Victoria was working while also going to school. She had a hard time doing both so she quit school to work more and make some money.

"I lost focus on what was really important, which is school, but I hope everything goes well this time," she said.
