‘RichmondCC On The Road’ Aims to Connect People with Employment, Education
May 28, 2021 - Richmond Community College is taking its “show on the road” to better inform people about the many new programs, services and funding opportunities they can find at their hometown college, as well as help them connect with local employers looking to hire.
“RichmondCC On The Road” will begin with a stop in Wagram Elementary School on June 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. and then Ellerbe Town Hall on June 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. On July 20, RichmondCC on The Road will be at Scotland High School from 2 to 4 p.m.
RichmondCC representatives will be on hand to talk about new classes, huge discounts on workforce training, co-admission programs with universities, financial aid and scholarships, and steps to enrollment. NC Works will be joining RichmondCC On The Road with job applications from local industry and businesses that have open positions. NC Works will also provide information about WIOA funding for short-term training.
“We understand that transportation can be a real obstacle for many people, so we are headed out into our local communities to meet people where they are,” said RichmondCC Director of Career & Transfer Services Patsy Stanley. “This is a great opportunity for people to learn about RichmondCC and apply for local job openings through NC Works. We hope people will join us at these events and discover something new about RichmondCC as well as their future possibilities.”
RichmondCC is currently accepting students for both summer and fall semesters. Free applications can be completed online at www.richmondcc.edu/admissions. Call (910) 410-1700.
