Jennifer Nettles Performance at Cole Auditorium Cancelled

Nov 30

Creative Artists Agency (CAA) has informed Richmond Community College that three performances of Jennifer Nettles’ Christmas show have been cancelled, one of which was to be held Friday, Dec. 16, at the Cole Auditorium.

“We were informed by the agency, that our show, as well as shows at two other venues had been cancelled,” Cole Auditorium Director Joey Bennett said. “The agency representing Ms. Nettles exercised the performance contract’s standard cancellation clause, which requires a minimum of 20 days notice by either party.”

No single show tickets were sold for Nettles’ Dec. 16 performance. Pro-rated season ticket refunds will be available upon request.

RichmondCC is currently in the final stages of negotiations with CAA to bring one of their major stars to replace the Nettles show in the 2016-17 Dewitt Series later this winter.

As a bonus to season ticket holders, the College is bringing back a Cole Auditorium favorite, the world renowned Emile Pandolfi, for a special Christmas performance on Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m. This performance will be available at no additional cost to all of our 2016-17 Dewitt Series ticket holders.

“We regret the cancellation of Ms. Nettle’s show, but we are excited that we can have a great Christmas show and bring in another headlining act, continuing the Cole Auditorium’s tradition of bringing world-class performers to our region,” Bennett said.
