Irish Tenor Concert to Bring Back Celtic Flair for Cole Audiences
Following a great response from “Rhythm of the Dance,” the DeWitt Performing Arts Series presents another performance with Celtic flair.
The Five Irish Tenors from Dublin, Ireland, will perform “Salute to Ireland” on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cole Auditorium located on Richmond Community College’s main campus in Hamlet.
The Five Irish Tenors present a sensational program of the most famously beloved Irish songs, fusing Irish wit and boisterous charm, with lyricism, dramatic flair and operatic style. Solos, duets, trios and other exceptional combinations bring you this unique Irish tenor concert experience.
Familiar favorites to be performed include “My Wild Irish Rose,” “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling,” “As She Moved Through the Fair,” “Danny Boy,” and “Toora – Loora – Loora!”
A Columbia Artists Production produced by Andrew S. Grossman, this concert project is the first North American tour featuring one of Ireland’s most popular ensembles. This marvelous program includes opera arias and many cherished Irish songs.
Two extraordinary pianists accompany the voices of these virtuoso musicians as they whisk you away to the Emerald Isles.
Tickets to the concert are $35 and can be purchased through the Cole Auditorium Box Office. Box office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can also call the box office at (910) 410-1691.
