Charlotte Symphony to Perform Legendary Music Scores at the Cole
Oct. 19, 2023 – The Charlotte Symphony will be bringing an ear-tickling performance entitled “Hooray for Hollywood” to the Cole Auditorium on Friday, Nov. 3, at 7:30 p.m.
The performance will bring to life legendary music scores from popular movies for the ultimate “surround-sound” experience. Music is drawn from movies such as “The Wizard of Oz,” “E.T.,” “Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone” and “Jaws.”
“We request that the symphony provide us with a program of music that is familiar to our residents, and they have done just that!” said Joey Bennett, director of the Cole Auditorium. “This one-hour performance is a great opportunity to expose children to symphony music and live concerts.”
Tickets for the show are just $5 thanks to grant funding from the Cole Foundation. Tickets are general admission only, so attendees choose their seating as they arrive in the auditorium the night of the show.
One of the premier music organizations in the Southeastern United States and the oldest operating symphony orchestra in the Carolinas, the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra connects with more than 100,000 music lovers each year through its lively season of concerts, broadcasts, community events, and robust educational programs.
