Cyber Security Awareness Summit

Richmond Community College will hold a Cyber Security Summit on Oct. 15 from 2 until 5 p.m. at the Cole Auditorium. 

Cost: Free for those who pre-register.

Keynote Speaker: Daniel Farmer - Regional IT Supervisor for the Court System of North Carolina

Daniel Farmer works as Regional IT Supervisor for the Court System of North Carolina and is a U.S. Army veteran. He is an alumnus of Capella University with a graduate degree in Organization and Management with a concentration in Information Technology Management. His undergraduate degree is from High Point University in Computer Information Systems. He also holds several technical certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, MCP and A+, as well as business certifications in Customer Service, Project Management and a certification in Entrepreneurship from NCREAL. 

Following they keynote speaker, we will have a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Devon Hall, Dean of Applied Sciences & Engineering. The panel will discuss these topics followed by a question and answer session.

  • Cyber security from the small business perspective
  • Current trends in cyber security impacting business and industry
  • Small business owners’ cyber security needs
  • Cyber security actions to take now!
