This two-day course is designed to prepare auto technicians and service personnel as safety inspectors for motor vehicles. Course topics include regulations and test inspection procedures required by the NC Division of Motor Vehicles, License and Theft Bureau for safety inspectors to properly inspect a vehicle.

May. 21-22 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Hamlet Campus, Lee 130A
Course Topics
- Rules, regulations and procedures for conducting a vehicle safety inspection
- Nine inspection areas mechanics must check during a safety inspection
- Eight emissions control devices installed by vehicle manufacturers and emissions control devices required on a vehicle
- Calibrating and using a headlight aimer
- Calibrating and using a window tint meter
