Students Interested in Internships

Richmond Community College has joined forces with local industries and businesses to form an Internship Program for college students. One of the main goals is to help train students in many fields from electrical, electronics, and manufacturing to welding and healthcare.

These internships allow the student to experience hands on training, outside the classroom.  Companies have a need to fill the local workforce with technical skills, and students will be able to offer these skills while attending college courses.

To meet the needs of students and industries, students must possess the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled in a curriculum or WED program
  • Must maintain a 2.5 GPA
  • Must complete the HRD program course for 24 hours
  • Willing to work hours outside of class schedules
  • Have a form of transportation to and from work

To apply:

Complete the Internship application and submit it along with your resume to a Career Center representative for review.  The Career Center is located in the Lee Building on main campus.
