Two trade skills training classes will be offered Friday, June 8. Refrigeration and Heating/Air Cycles. Participates will learn gauges of refrigeration, heating and air cycles and how air conditioning and heat pumps work. This class will be offered from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Industrial Math & Measurements is being offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a competency-based program and provides students with information on enhanced career opportunities in a manufacturing setting. You will also learn how to apply basic mathematical and measurement procedures.

Arc Flash Safety and Machining, which is a two-part class, will be offered Friday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Arc Flash Safety is a course designed to train electricians, maintenance mechanics and machine operators about arc flash safety in an industrial setting. Machining will introduce students to machining operations as they relate to the metalworking industry. Topics to be covered in this class are, machine milling shop safety, measuring tools, lathes, drilling machines, bench grinders and layout instruments.

On Friday, June 22, NEC Analysis of Changes Part I & II and PLC Programming Fundamentals will be offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the second part of the Machining class will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. NEC Analysis of Changes Part I & II covers Chapters 1 – 4 of the 2017 National Electrical Code and provides updated to the changes in the 2017 NEC.
