The Surgical Technology program will prepare students for careers as surgical technicians, which are in high demand by area hospitals and surgical centers. The average salary for a surgical technician is up to $35/hour. After completing one year of study, students can take the Tech in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) certification exam. Please note that TS-C does not meet licensing or regulatory requirements for Surgical Technologists in some states. Please check with your local hospital system of your residence to confirm participation with this certifying body.

Richmond Community College's online continuing education classes are open to telecommunicators across the state of North Carolina. These courses will keep telecommunicators up to date on protocols, call processing, and standards in the industry. A variety of continuing education will be offered to include medical, fire, law and sheriff's standards.

Obtain either a Class A (tractor-trailer) or Class B (box/straight truck) commercial driver's license through RichmondCC's Truck Driver Training program. Classes include lecture, range driving and road driving over the course of 9 weeks or less.

This two-day course is designed to prepare auto technicians and service personnel as safety inspectors for motor vehicles. Course topics include regulations and test inspection procedures required by the NC Division of Motor Vehicles, License and Theft Bureau for safety inspectors to properly inspect a vehicle.

We can prepare you for a welding career in just two semesters. Students can start in Welding I or Welding II. Upon successful completion of each course, students will be able to obtain certifications from the American Welding Society (AWS). Every AWS certification that a welder earns increases the number of skills needed to perform a wide range of welding jobs. Students must bring their own welding helmet, gloves, clear safety glasses and long sleeves to class.
Come learn the physical practices of yoga in this weekly class. Getting a better understanding of how to safely and effectively practice yoga, students will break down the anatomy and alignment of postures.
