Accreditation

Richmond Community College is accredited by The Commission on Colleges and Universities (formerly known as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, SACSCOC) to award associate degrees. Richmond Community College also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. The Medical Assisting program at Richmond Community College is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs upon the recommendation of Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB).

• The Associate Degree Nursing and Practical Nursing program are approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• The Criminal Justice Technology program is certified as meeting the educational and program requirements of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.
• The Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) program is certified by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.
• Nurse Aide I course is approved by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
• Nurse Aide II course is approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
