RichmondCC Announces Honor Lists for 2025 Spring Semester

Richmond Community College has announced its honor lists for the 2025 Spring Semester. The President’s List identifies students who earn an “A” in all courses and have a 4.0 grade point average while carrying 12 or more semester credit hours excluding developmental courses. The Dean’s List identifies students who attain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 with no grade lower than a “B” while carrying 12 or more semester credit hours excluding developmental courses.

Ellen Carrillo Mayoral was 13 years old when she was introduced to robotics and electronics at a STEM camp at Richmond Community College. Ellen Carrillo Mayoral stands in the Mechatronics LabEllen was among 25 young girls who took part in the “Girls Exploring Engineering” camp in February 2020 hosted by women engineering instructors at RichmondCC. That day sparked an interest in her that would carry her forward to a degree in engineering.

Latham Pools Receiving Customized Training For Capital Investment

Richmond Community College has secured over $80,000 in customized training funds for Latham Pools to offset a more than $3 million investment made recently by the company to increase its efficiency in manufacturing fiberglass swimming pools.“Right now, our facility in Rockingham is the second largest provider of pools in the United States,” said Plant Manager Gil Aponte. “Our goal, of course, is to become number one.”
