Getting Started

Step 1

For minors under the age of 18 (16 or 17 years old), your REQUIRED first step is to complete the Petition for Minor Enrollment Form. The form can be found here:

Petition for Minor Enrollment Form

The form must be notarized and submitted to the front desk associate at our Hamlet or Laurinburg campus. A notary is available at the front desk at each campus for the student’s convenience:

  • Lee Building: 1042 W. Hamlet Ave., Hamlet
  • Honeycutt Building: 600 McLean St., Laurinburg

After the Petition for Minor Enrollment is completed and notarized, minor student and parent or legal guardian must meet with a program coordinator to submit the form and review classroom expectations and FERPA policies prior to scheduling a Pre-Orientation TABE assessment appointment.

Pre-Orientation TABE assessments in both math and reading are required before attending orientation. (Don’t worry — this is just a way to determine your skill levels for placement!)

  • Select the appointment type: Adult High School/High School Equivalency Placement Test/ Orientation (4 Hours) option to book.
  • Select preferred location.
  • Select time for appointment. Show up 15 minutes prior to your testing time! Be prepared to stay up to 4 hours to complete both Reading and Math Pre-Orientation TABE assessments (unless directed otherwise).

You may also schedule a required Pre-Orientation TABE Assessment by calling (910) 410-1700 (Richmond County) or (910) 410-1831 (Scotland County).

Step 3

Sign Up for a CCR Orientation session. After completing Pre-Orientation Assessments in both Math and Reading, you will be assisted by front desk staff in signing up for the next CCR Orientation session. If you have questions, please call (910) 410-1700 (Richmond County) or (910) 410-1831 (Scotland County).
