The course provides instruction related to the core skills used by carpenters in residential and commercial settings.

  • Safety
  • Hand/power tool use
  • Site preparation
  • Measurement and layout
  • Footings and foundations
  • Construction framing

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to construct, erect, install and repair structures and fixtures made of wood such as concrete forms and building frameworks, including partitions, joists, studding and rafters, wood stairways, window and door frames and hardwood floors.

Cost $180.00, plus textbook
