Debby Boone earned instant fame when “You Light Up My Life” became an overnight hit. That was 1977, unbelievably. The tune, claiming the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts for 10 straight weeks, sold in excess of four million copies.

Three Grammy Awards later, Debby is still a household name after all of these years in the public spotlight. She is known for songs in the popular, country, and gospel music genres.

In addition to her recording career, Debby has starred as the lead in numerous stage productions, such as Seven Brides for Seven Brothers on Broadway and as Maria in Lincoln Center’s 30th anniversary production of The Sound of Music. She also starred as Rizzo in the Broadway production of Grease and toured nationally in Meet Me in St. Louis. Debby also performed in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I.

Debby’s show will be a mix of songs that provide an intimate musical portrait of her late mother-in-law — the legendary singer Rosemary Clooney, songs that everyone recognizes from the Great American Songbook, and music from her newest project “Swing This.”

Debby returns to the Cole after having appeared at Cole in May 2011 as a part of the 2010-2011 DeWitt Performing Arts Season.

DeWitt season ticket holders use their tickets for entry but single show tickets are available for $35.00-$45.00 each. Season tickets starting at $125 also still available in great locations.
