Parrisher Joins Richmond Community College Staff

Mar 21

Veteran N.C. Probation and Parole Officer Neil Parrisher has joined the staff of Richmond Community College as director of Public Safety.

He will be actively involved in setting up the College’s Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) program, as well as providing in-service training for local law enforcement, fire and rescue personnel.

“Neil is going to be a great fit for our program with his background in law enforcement and emergency response,” said Dr. Robbie Taylor, vice president of Workforce and Economic Development at RichmondCC.

Parrisher, who spent 16 years working in Probation and Parole, is a native of Richmond County and former graduate of Richmond Senior High School. He’s also an alumnus of RichmondCC, having obtained an associate degree in criminal justice prior to transferring to the University of North Carolina-Pembroke to complete his bachelor’s degree in the program.

Parrisher replaces former Director of Public Safety Chip Osborne, who retired from RichmondCC in January. For more information about Public Safety programs offered through RichmondCC, contact Parrisher at (910) 410-1708 or knparrisher@richmondcc.edu.
